SK-NET™ Version 4 Pre-Release (Build 4.0.0.17) (posted September 11, 2008)

With Secura Key access control systems, version updates to the basic or MLD software are always free*. We recommend updating SK-NET™ if you need newly added features or if you are experiencing problems with your current version on your computer. To update your system to the latest release, follow these simple instructions. 

NOTE: SK-Net-MLD (multi-location, LAN, Dialup). If your current software is the MLD version, you will need to go to Help, Upgrade system, and record the 12 digit serial number. After installing the new software, again go to Help, Upgrade system, select MLD and re-enter the serial number into your new SK-Net version.

Upgrade from version 3.XX to 4.0 using the basic or MLD versions: 

Run version 3.XX and select ‘File’ then ‘System Backup’.  Make a note where the backup is saved to. 

Before starting SK-NET for the first time, go to the folder containing the backup files and copy all the .dbf and .fpt files.  Then go to the C drive/program files/securekey/SK-NET 4.0/database and select paste.  Now you can start SK-Net. 

Upgrade from version 3.XX to 4.0 using the Client Server version: 

Always copy the whole database folder and store it to somewhere safe.  During the install, you will be asked where the database folder is.  Just browse to the original location of the existing database folder.  The install will copy a few new files to that folder to make it work with version 4.0.

1. Click on your selected language to Download.

2. On the "File Download" screen, select option to "Save this program to disk" and click OK.

3. On the "Save As" screen, select folder on your hard drive (for example: C:\Temp) and click Save.

4. When the "Download Complete" screen appears, click Open Folder.

5. Double clicks the downloaded file to start the installation.

6. The Default User Name for SK-NET™ is ADMIN and Password is 12345.

  WARNING: SK-NET CS 4.00 requires ADS Version 8.1 or later. Do not install SK-NET CS 4.00 before upgrading ADS. To upgrade your ADS please contact customer service (fees apply).

SK-NET™ Version 3 Migration Tool (posted January, 2007)

Please read these instructions completely before downloading the SK-NET™ Version 3 Migration Tool

• The Migration Tool is designed to upgrade SK-NET Database from version 2.42 or older to version 3.xx. After downloading the migration tool, install it in the SK-NET Version 3 folder. (The default location for this folder is C:\Program Files\Secura Key\SK-NET). Click on link below to download.
