e*Tag® Quasar reader/writers are used for a wide
variety of Automatic Identification and Data Collection applications.
Compliant with ISO 15693 standards for Vicinity RFID, these 13.56 MHz
units offer the latest in open architecture and interoperability. e*Tag®
readers are also compatible with ISO 14443, Part A, proximity standards
for contactless smart cards.
The Quasar series is available with a variety of communications
capabilities. RS-232 units communicate one-to-one with the serial COM port
of a PC. Multiple units can be connected via RS-485 on a twisted pair bus
and addressed individually by serial number. For embedded applications,
TTL communications is an efficient and economical way to link a
reader/writer to a microprocessor.
A variety of reader form factors are available. Complete board and antenna
assemblies in fully potted high-impact plastic housings offer moisture and
dust resistance. In addition, PC board assemblies, with remote antenna
options, are offered for OEM applications.
Secura Key also offers RFID transponders in a variety of custom-printed
packages. Plastic cards, wallet-sized or larger, are suitable for photo
IDs and to tag large items. Smaller plastic tags that can be attached to a
key ring, a pallet, a plastic tote, etc., are available in a selection of
shapes and sizes. Wristbands, disposable or reusable, are excellent for
people-tracking and electronic ticketing. Adhesive “smart labels” can be
affixed to boxes, luggage, file folders and any other items that need to
be positively identified. High-quality, four-color graphics are available
for any transponder package.
Standard e*Tag® transponder packages meet ISO 15693 standards and offer
2000 bits of user-controlled data storage, plus a 64 bit Unique I.D.
number. Secura Key also creates custom packages using RFID transponders of
various frequencies and capacities from a number of chip manufacturers. |
